If you are sick, wear a mask!!!
So I got a DM the other day from somebody I love dearly, and baby… it frustrated me. 😂
He was commenting on the fact that I was wearing a mask, and I thought, “You do realize there’s a reason for this, right?” 😂
First of all, I have asthma, so protecting my respiratory health is important to me.
Second, I live in the Pacific Northwest. We don’t exactly have the sun shining 365 days a year. 😩😂
Third, I work in an environment with dust, fumes, dirt, and all kinds of particles floating around.
And FOURTH… I caught this freaking cold from a coworker who was sick and came to work WITHOUT A MASK. 🤦🏾♀️
So let me tell y’all what the point of my video actually was:
IF YOU ARE SICK AND YOU HAVE TO GO TO WORK, WEAR A DAMN MASK.
That’s it. That’s the post. 😂
Because you might think, “Oh, it’s just a little cold. I’m fine.”
But you don’t know what somebody else’s immune system is dealing with. You don’t know if they have asthma, allergies, respiratory issues, or anything else that could make whatever you’re carrying hit them harder.
And now here I am, sick, having to cancel plans I was looking forward to because somebody else decided they were good enough to come to work sick without taking a simple precaution.
Listen, I’m not trying to police anybody. Do what works for you.
But if you’re sick and you have to be around other people, please consider the people around you.
Because sometimes protecting other people is as simple as putting on a damn mask.
And clearly, I needed to say that because apparently we’re still having this conversation in 2026. 😂😷
Be considerate. Be responsible. And if you’re sick… WEAR. THE. MASK.
