It's the GRACE for me!

We are often far kinder to others than we are to ourselves. We offer understanding when someone else struggles, yet respond to our own missteps with harsh judgment. For instance, I have always prided myself on getting my blog post done by Saturday night so that it would be posted Sunday morning, a deadline I set for completion. Safe to say, I have fallen short on this commitment a few times. I used to get mad at myself every time (that's the perfectionist speaking), but in this season of my life, I am determined to give myself grace. When we give ourselves grace, it means we are choosing compassion over punishment.

Grace isn’t an excuse or a way for me to avoid responsibility. It’s acknowledging , my humanity without turning it into a flaw. It’s allowing room to for me to learn, rest, and grow without shame driving the process. I won't always meet the standard I set for myself and I am okay with that as long as I don't give up. I may be late, but I am still showing up.

This past weekend, I took a trip out of town for a much needed women's conference. By the time I got home from traveling I was exhausted. I didn't have the capacity to formulate an idea for a post let alone sit down and write it. -- I will share some of what I learned in next weeks blog post --

Grace shows up in small ways: letting “good enough” be enough, resting when I am tired, and speaking to myself with patience instead of criticism. It means understanding that not every season will look the same and that’s okay.

When I give myself grace, I am not lowering my standards; I am making them sustainable. I create space to reflect honestly, repair what needs fixing, and keep moving forward with clarity rather than fear.

Remember, you don’t need to be perfect to be worthy of kindness—especially from yourself. Giving yourself grace isn’t weakness. It’s how growth becomes possible.

Sending you love, light and positive vibes,

Cassie K
